Janey Age

Janey Age / Jana Hurdesova is a singer and songwriter from Czech Republic.
She started sing at The Childern’s community when she was 6 years old.
When she was 12 years old she taught herself to play a guitar and she started off her first band when I was 13 .
In 1997sheI made my first CD called Hurt Angles ( Poraneni Andele ) with Czech folk guitar player and singer Martin Roller
In November of 1999 she arrived in Chicago and during 2 months she joined a VATA band and performed with them the next 4 years playing at the clubs in Chicago and at all special events parties.
In 2001 she joined her first American band HEAVY MENTAL and she was with them about a year as a second singer.
In 2004 she joined a hard-rock band FULL OF SILENCE and she recorded with them a debut CD – Century of Fear.
At the end of summer of 2004 some ex – members of band VATA and her get together a new party cover band EUROBAND which became after a couple years WORLDBAND.
In the spring of 2006 she left Full Of Silence and she was looking for a new band and in October 2006 she became a new lead singer for VOODOO MONKEY CHILD.
From 2004 she is also working with a Theater Company’s Dech and Bohemia, there she performes in musicals

- musical Lotrando a Zubejda as narrator, monk, bandits’s wife
- musical Krysar [ Pied Piper ] as Agnes
- musical Marilyn Prekrasne Decko aneb Pripad c. 81 128
[ Marilyn Monroe, the beautiful child or else the case num. 81 128 as main role Marilyn, directed by Czech musical director RADEK BALAS!
As a vocalist guest she was singing back vocals for Chicago show of Czech rock legend Ales Brichta,
band Ciba & Rhythm on 22nd,
Plastic Selection Of Chicago ( revival of Plastic People Of Universe ),
Coverbanda / Rock n’ Prague ( revival of Hudba Praha ).
Currently you can see her with her main band VOODOO MONKEY CHILD , rock project 4WITHOUT and cover band WORLDBAND.
