7 months agoJonathan Haskell's gripping instrumental compositions as Seven Saturdays are the stuff of epic movie soundtracks, or of hours lost in ambient bliss imagining them. Since releasing his "Love in the Time of Anticipated Defeat" album and "Secret Things" EP, both in March 2011, Haskell has done a bunch of remixes while setting off in a new direction for his own music: incorporating vocals into his songs. 7 months agoSeven Saturdays and Western Lows — two L.A. artists with enticing album releases on the horizon — highlight an eclectic lineup for Buzz Bands LA's monthly showcase of new music on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Satellite. The show is free.
