- Counting Cards School and life have gotten in the way of our musical lives, but now we are going to get grinding. Max and I met in the seventh grade. The first time we played music together was in high school. I joined his band Entropy to fill in on bass for their last few shows. We ended up writing a few new songs when I joined them. Max has been in almost every band I’ve played with since then. Kieran and I met sometime late in high school when our groups of friends merged. I didn’t realize he played drums for a while, and when I finally played with him I was blown away. I insisted that he would play drums on a track that max and I were working on. We all eventually discovered that we could read each other really well. We stay tight even after long periods of not practicing. The band has split up, gone inactive and then gotten back together several times. We’ve had our differences, but our friendships are too strong. Here’s to the future and chasing dreams. Cheers! -Ben File Explodes Hello we are File Explode. A three piece rock band from the north suburbs of Chicago. Mike on guitar and lead vocals, Jacob on bass and and Evan on drums. File Explode formed when Evan answered Mikes craigs list add for a bass player. eventually Evan took over on drums making it a two piece guitar and drum duo. After booking their first show they recruited Jacob (evans friend and previous band mate) to fill in on bass for the show. Jacob ended up with the roll as full time bass player. We love to play music, write music, and have people enjoy our music. Shadow is Past
