NGUZUNGUZU
Nguzunguzu is the brainchild of two former Suzuki violin players on a
mission to fill the world with music for revolutionary moments in love, dancing, and sex. In the fifth dimension, Daniel Pineda and Asma Maroof exist somewhere between Puerto Rico and India, but currently rest their heads in Los Angeles, where they have been instrumental in building the anti-locale community that surrounds them. Held together by a bond consisting of club music, dark vibes, and out sounds from all corners of the globe, the duo’s chemistry is a unique blend of R&B, Cumbia, Kuduro, Tribal, Reggaeton, and House elements, often derived from improvisations on MPCs and a room full of synthesizers.
Outside of the studio, they can be found in multiple live settings, spinning at bars, clubs,galleries, museums,screenings, and fashion shows, often alongside fellow DJ Total Freedom, with whom they ran the Tuesday night Wildness party at LA’s historic Silver Platter. Working with the likes of M.I.A, Rye Rye,Maluca, Brenmar,and Kingdom, they’re no strangers to collaboration, and their creative drive is fueled by community and easy access to technology. In 2010 alone, their output includes a self-titled, self-released digital EP (soon to be pressed on vinyl by Innovative Leisure), the Mirage EP on Belgium’s Silverback Recordings, countless mixtapes, and music direction for Wu Tsang’s documentary Damelo Todo.They've remixed for Ratatat, Shanell, Buraka som Sistema, Sam Sparro, Lazer Sword, LOL Boys, Paus, and Pit Er Pat to name a few. Nguzunguzu are a vessel towards the future of both sound and image, channeling something between the virtual and natural worlds to pioneer their own form of Visual House.

Rich (aka Barrett Richards) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is one of America's welcome purveyors of bass-heavy club music. After growing up with a love of hip hop he got into producing and DJ at a young age while being influenced by early 90s rave and dance artists such as Moby, Altern-8 and The Prodigy. Now with over 15 years of experience he is performing regularly throughout North America with one European tour under his belt and a world tour later this year. His crisp production style has been shared with labels such as Ultra Records, Ministry of Sound, Scion A/V and Palms Out Sounds. Whether it's at the club or on BBC Radio 1, you can hear his tracks being played and supported by some of the heaviest selectors and tastemakers across the world.
