- Tiger Cry Tiger Cry is Nicolette, Adam and Josh, three Midwesterners who live in Chicago. Tiger Cry combines lush vocals, driving guitar, old school organ & thick bass lines to form a beautiful storm of charm and sway. Jack Brett (of Fourty Sleeps) As Fourty Sleeps started as an unplugged Simon and Garfunkel-type duo focused on dual acoustics and vocal harmonies, playing bar and coffee house shows in Seattle, WA. As the songwriting matured and audience grew, bass, drums, and electric instruments were later added to increase the energy of live shows. The late sixties folk-rock sound is still very prevalent in AFS’ performances, but the top-notch skill of its current dream team of musicians give them a very modern, club-friendly sound. Dave Johnson (of Midwestern Lull) Dave Johnson is the primary singer and songwriter for the Chicago based roots-rock/Americana band Midwestern Lull on Railway Records. Johnson strums acoustic jangle-folk-pop songs citing Neil Young, the Jayhawks and The Band as major influences. A review from garageband.com named him “a songwriter for our times.”
