- Metro is happy to present, for the second year in a row, one of the highlights of the winter concert season - Metro's Winter Soulstice! This year, Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires headline the very special event. Charles Bradley has had lifetime of paying dues, having nomadically labored for decades at various day jobs from Maine to Alaska – singing and performing in his spare time – before re-settling in his hometown Brooklyn and eventually finding a musical home at Dunham Records, an imprint of Daptone Records. The label’s debut album of its inaugural vocalist, “No Time For Dreaming”, was released earlier this year. In his distinctively rough-hewn timbre one hears the unmistakable voice of experience – each note and gruff inflection a reflection of his extended, sometimes rocky, personal path. Since the album’s releae, Charles has been touring with The Menahan Street Band and honing his passion as a singer and an entertainer - Charles Bradley spent most of his life dreaming for a better one, and now there is no more time for dreaming, just time for singing, dancing and loving!
