CHICAGO – May 10, 2012 – Following a standing-room-only joint presentation between Fulcrum Point New Music Project and Columbia College Chicago in May 2011, the pair reunites to present another film screening event with live music, Movie Music Concert II, at the sound stage of the college's Media Production Center, 1600 S. State Street, Thursday, May 24 at 6 pm.Movie Music Concert II features the 25-piece Fulcrum Point orchestra with guest pianist Lori Kaufman, conducted by Founder and Artistic Director Stephen Burns, performing film scores accompanying excerpts from Stephen Daldry’s The Reader and Jane Campion’s The Piano. The program also features live music to screenings of select Columbia Film and Video Department student-made short films.Movie Music Concert II is free and open to the public but advance registration and ticket reservations are required.
