about 1 year agoCover band Instrument is joining together for one special night to play Fugazi’s 13 Songs, 1989’s compilation of the post-hardcore band’s first two EPs. Instrument consists of Chicago musicians Paul Kelvington, Kevin J. Frank, Jay Ryan, and Adam Reach. Along with 13 Songs, the band’s set will include a few Fugazi-fan favorites. In true Fugazi fashion, all of this show’s proceeds will go to benefit Girls Rock! Chicago and its summer camps. Opening act When Flying Feels Like Falling offers the crowd a chance to see their dollar in action; the band’s members are veterans of the creative-expression and self-esteem-centered non-profit for local girls between the ages of 8 and 16. more at avclub.com
