The Electric Boogaloo

The Electric Boogaloo is a 6-piece funk/progressive/fusion band that has been evolving in the Chicagoland area since 2004. In this time, the band has created a concert experience that speaks to people of all ages and cultures. The music is visceral, yet intellectual, mixing complex arrangements and harmonies with funk inspired grooves and smooth textures. All of these qualities, as well as a penchant for improvisation lend The Electric Boogaloo an edge in today's music scene, opening channels for mutual exchange between the audience and the performer. Their compositional techniques illustrate a deviation from symmetrical "Rock" and "Pop" stylings, directly opposing the idea that there is a set formula for musical enjoyment. The Boogaloo strives to institute a paradigm shift within the "jam" genre by consistently changing the perception of how a band must operate and communicate with its audience.

The New Fuse

Born out of Chicago's vibrant music scene The New Fuse has emerged as a distinct original sound that transcends classification. Genres like funk, blues, rock, jazz do come to mind but more often do the descriptors energy, passion, intensity. It is a sound marinated with decades of experience playing, studying, and living music of all varieties. From classical to rock, Latin to blues and funk the members of "The Fuse", founder/bassist, Shane Davies, guitar/vocalist, Brent Kimbrough, saxophone/vocalist, Rodney Brown and drummer/percussionist Ben Scholz have an unparalleled palate of influences free of boundaries. Rock tempered by jazz, blues and funk flavored by Latin rhythms - all of these are the elements that make The New Fuse a force of original progressive music. It's the welcoming openness of The New Fuse's music that has captured audiences diverse in age, gender, race, class. No band can be all things to all people, but with The New Fuse there's bound to something in there for you, and if not, that could change at any moment.

Brothers Rage
Brothers Rage is a progressive improv-rock quartet from the Chicago area. The band's creative outlook consist of writing unique, structured compositions, while leaving space for spontaneous improvisation during live performances. Each show is a different musical journey encompassing live improvisation that differentiates each time a song is played. The music is best described as a fusion of genres ranging from rock/progressive/metal/electronic/jazz/experimental while maintaining an overall groove.

Taggart Transcontinental
Taggart Transcontinental has been performing all over Chicago for the last 3yrs. The bands sound is one all in its own, mixing Live Hip-Hop,Spoken Word, Jazz,Funk,Jam and whatever moves the Soul.Tho they just released their first CD "Breathe to a Beat" in 2010,their Live Show is not to be missed! Encouraging the audience to get involved, they've been known to break into a drum session mid song and creep back to their respective instruments like it never happened, also joined by guest artist and its as if the show grows right before you!
