Join Chicago's original
craft brewery for a true urban block party as we send off Summer -
GooseIsland style. That means lots of good beer, a wide variety of beer,
rare beer and the music we listen to while making lots of good beer.
What is doesn't mean is a Cevapceci stand, elephant ears, someone asking
you to sign up for a newspaper subscription, those silly hats that
collapse on themselves, a table full of cheap sunglasses楽ou get the
picture. Just think beer and music.
We'll be celebrating craft beer, Chicago and 312 Urban Wheat Ale with
live music from St. Vincent and Chicago's own Maps and Atlases and Kelly
Hogan. We'll have a pig roast from the Goose Island Clybourn Brewpub
and some of our favorite food trucks offering up unique food/beer
Pairings. Our brewers will be bartending and pouring the beer they make
(and probably pouring a few for themselves). John Laffler, our brewer
in charge of Goose Island's barrel aging program is even threatening to
ladle glasses of Bourbon County Stout directly out of the oak barrel it
was aging in.
Taking place over Labor Day Weekend, Saturday September 1st and located
half a block from our Fulton Street Brewery outside Goose Island's
barrel warehouse (Walnut St. b/w Wolcott & Wood). Enter through the
barrel warehouse Wood St. door, 5p - 10p.
