Chicago's hottest destination neighborhood, West Town, is bringing back all your favorite food trucks in one spot for the 2nd Annual Food Truck Social - this year expanded to two days: Saturday, August 25th and Sunday, August 26th. Enjoy all your favorite street cuisine from the best mobile eateries who own Chicago's roads, as well as some exclusive for-this-event-only dishes, while some of our top local bands set the tone. Returning this year is a full-fledged pop-up food truck on Saturday, with notable Chicago chefs taking shifts to debut their version of street food. Food Truck Social 2012 has moved to the up-and-coming Chicago Avenue Corridor between Wood and Wolcott (1800 - 1899 W Chicago Ave). Presented by Time Out Chicago, West Town Chamber of Commerce and Empty Bottle Presents, over 20,000 hungry bellies are expected to attend this year!
"Food trucks are making a huge splash locally," says West Town Chamber Executive Director Kara Salgado. "With Food Truck Social, our goal is to highlight some of the leaders in the industry, as well as newcomers. The event especially stands out because we combine the popularity of pop-up restaurants and food trucks with the established Chicago street fest model."
