Artist Submissions – Between July 12th and July 23rd, upload your favorite track and begin to rally your voters. Hopefully others will agree with your choice and help propel your case.
Voting – Between July 23rd and August 1st, vote once per day, every day, if you want to make a life-changing difference in the life of one band, one DJ, and one MC. Each e-mail address will be allotted one vote per day, so encourage your supporters to vote early and often! VOTING ENDS midnight CST on July 31st!
The Decision – On August 2nd, the votes will be tallied and the Top 5 Vote-Getters and the Top 5 NCMF-Picks will be chosen to round out our 10 Finalists. These finalists will each play a short set on August 7th for organizers and their fans at The MID (306 N. Halsted). Wow us, and you'll be one of three winners. We'll pick one band, one MC, and one DJ to join the main stage lineup at this year’s fest. He, Her, or they will be showered with praise and good fortune.

To the Letter
In 2009, The Palmer Squares (TPS) began posting videos on YouTube showcasing their rare emcee abilities. In 2010 they released the mixtape,‘First That, Now This’, greeted by much critical acclaim. Shortly after, TPS gained considerable notice after getting “called-out” by well-known artists Wax (Def Jam) and Dumbfoundead (Knocksteady) on highly-visible cyphers. Over the past year, the reputation of TPS has continued to grow -- recently recording a new EP named 'Spooky Language', as well as a collaborative single called ‘The Plot Thickens' with the popular jam band, Umphrey's McGee. In the last few months, they've also opened shows for Slum Village, Action Bronson and Keith Murray. This July, The Palmer Squares signed an exclusive YouTube contract with Maker Studios (Google).
