Greatest.
Blood Red Boots started as an idea in Los Angeles. Singer Keith Patrick wanted to mix the raw energy of rock n roll, the catchiness of Top 40 pop music, and the stories of life as a young twenty-something. So he wrote demos, moved back to his native Chicago and called Eric Hays, keyboardist for Blood Red Boots. They finished the songs and put together a band. From there, things moved fast.
The band played their first shows in January 2012 and have garnered over 13,000 Twitter followers since. They've had several headlining slots at prestigious venues such as Subterranean, The Metro, and 12th & Porter, played big festivals such as The Oak Park Microbrew Review, Plainfield Fest, Summerfest in Villa Park, Music Fest at The Arboretum of South Barrington, and in July-August, they went on tour to Nashville. They've been named "THE Chicago band to watch in 2012" by examiner.com, and were listed first in the top five must see local Chicago bands in that time. Most notably, Blood Red Boots won WGNTVs Breakthrough Band Contest in June 2012. Above 90 other bands, Blood Red Boots scored the win on live TV and is recording their debut EP with Manny Sanchez at I.V. Lab Studios in Chicago with the prize money.
Blood Red Boots prides itself in being all-original and having an eclectic mix of pop, indie rock, and electronic with some country influence. The band is all about the live show and has been planning a record release show due in mid October with some major act bands to back them up as they release their first professional EP.
