Overview
The Lolla Remix Throwdown isn’t just about your skills in the studio – because being an artist is way more than that, right? It’s also about rocking self-promotion, live performance and everything else that makes you the complete package. Start off by submitting your best remix of Delta Spirit's "California" in the open round. The contest will narrow down to the semi-finals and then to the finals where the top four will compete at a live event in Chicago! Your participation in the contest is governed by the official rules.
The Open Round - Submit Your Remix of Delta Spirit's "California"
May 22nd-June 24th
From May 22nd to June 24th, artists will enter the contest by downloading the stems to Delta Spirit's "California" via the enter page and creating their best remix. Then upload your remix and create your artist profile via the enter page - that's it! Entry period will close at midnight, CST on June 24th.
The Judging Period
June 25th-June 29th
During the open judging and voting period, the panel will select three entries and the public will select one 'fan favorite' determined by the highest number of votes. Individuals can vote for each artist once per day. The four finalists will then move forward to the live finals, hosted at Evil Olive in Chicago on July 28th! Voting will end at midnight, CST, on June 29th. The winners will be announced on Monday, July 2nd.
The Final Round - Live Performance Battle
July 28th
On Saturday, July 28th at Evilolive in Chicago, the top four will compete via head-to-head DJ sets in front of a live audience. A grand prize winner will be chosen by an industry judging panel. Bonus - it's free, and we have AC Slater playing afterward. Yep.
