Voidstar
Hometown: New York City Web Site: voidstarrunner.com“Voidstar knows how to make all the space cadets get down.”
Who is Voidstar? A DJ, VJ, Producer, and classically trained pianist based in New York City. His style’s all over the map, from dance floor bangers to deep dark drum n bass choons, progressive IDM to mainstream mashups. From 2001-2005, while hosting Artifacture Radio on WRSU in New Brunswick NJ, Voidstar was seen performing alongside Drop the Lime, /Dev/null, Scrap.edx and other underground artists. His work with The Antagonist Movement, Theory Events, BarCore and DyscoNoir brought Voidstar to the big apple to perform alongside Mochipet, Cex, Enduser, and Belladonnakillz.
What exactly is a Voidstar performance? It might be a dance-til-you-drop DJ set, a raw freestyle Live PA, a VJ performance, even all three at once. Dance floor bangers, grimy dubstep, breakneck dnb, and genre defying musical experiments.
