Riverfront Theater
650 W. Chicago Ave. (map) 888-556-9484
In 2011, the Riverfront Theater attracted more than 110,000 attendees to its 16-week engagement of Peter Pan as well as a number of corporate and social events.
The Riverfront Theater brings several hit productions to Chicago, in a 70-foot tall, 22,000 square foot temperature-controlled tent along the scenic Chicago River, this summer. The venue promises to be a destination for all of Chicagoland and tourists alike. In addition to the performance tent is the 13,500 square foot Pavilion tent and promenade area; where patrons are encouraged to enjoy refreshments while taking in the view from this urban garden oasis before or after each performance.
The 2012 Riverfront Theater season inaugural production is a show direct from Dublin, The Twelve Tenors (May 30 – June 3); followed by the biggest 70’s party ever, Dancing Queen (June 14 – 24); the International Post calls Spirit of the Dance (July 11 – July 15), “the world’s greatest Irish dance show,” showcasing the crème de la crème of twisted cabaret entertainers from around the world, La Soiree (July 18 – August 5).
