Featured Review from The Onion A.V. Club
April 20, 2012Donald Glover is a lucky man, and he says so himself. After going straight from college to the 30 Rock writers’ room, he was cast as dim-bulb jock Troy in NBC’s critically acclaimed Community. more at avclub.com

Featured Review from Oh My Rockness
April 27, 2012Like Mogwai, (except they’re French and they love keyboards) M83 have the rare ability to completely invigorate and transform an audience with the euphoric sounds they create. This is true ambient music.

Featured Review from The Onion A.V. Club
April 25, 2012An alternately transcendent and dodgy prospect live, M83 is the province of French musician and producer Anthony Gonzalez, who makes dramatic post-rock stuck somewhere among Tortoise, Air, and Boards Of Canada. more at avclub.com

Featured Review from The Onion A.V. Club
March 26, 2012Throughout the 15-year existence of Oasis, it was widely assumed that Noel Gallagher was the group’s mastermind—he wrote the songs, shaped the band’s look and sound, and determined the proper level of collective onstage inebriation. more at avclub.com

Featured Review from Chicago Reader
March 17, 2012Since Andrew Fetterly Wilkes-Krier—better known as patron saint of partying hard Andrew W.K.—dropped I Get Wet in 2001, he’s enjoyed one of the oddest pop careers in recent memory. more at chicagoreader.com

Featured Review from The Onion A.V. Club
March 13, 2012Andrew W.K. is about as irrepressible as a person can be—a kinda-sorta star who got big by way of what was essentially a karaoke act and then grabbed that kinda-sorta bigness and made a lot of it. more at avclub.com

Featured Review from The Onion A.V. Club
February 16, 2012With its soaring melodies, crashing percussion, and waves and waves of reverb, it’d be easy to dismiss Young The Giant as another group of immaculately tousled, 21st-Century Californians, making its own multi-culti beach jams à la The Morning Benders and Local Natives. more at avclub.com

Featured Review from PARTYLINECHICAGO
November 01, 2011Leslie Feist is the front woman for the band after her own last name “Feist.” Some might know her from the Canadian indie rock group Broken Social Scene, now solo and touring the states on her own tour, she will be sure to show people why she has been nominated for so many Grammy’s over the years. A very talented singer-songwriter, she embarks on what could be a break out tour that will land her on major festivals next summer. With chill melodic vocals, she has a voice of a toned down Florence from Florence and the Machin. Be sure to check her out on November 4th at the Riviera Theater, tickets are still available. -Derek Bogseth {PLC Pre-Reviews}

Featured Review from Oh My Rockness
October 09, 2011Man, I used to be so obsessed with this band. Circa 1993, I would gaze for hours (literally!) at the two posters of Smashing Pumpkins adorning the walls of my bedroom. I would just lie there, look at Billy, and think “How can I be as cool as you?” Pretty pathetic, I guess. But what else is a good kid supposed to do all night? It beats OD’ing on lava lamp fumes.more at ohmyrockness.com
