Vladimir Zaytsev grew up in Ukraine, with his childhood consisting of doing everything that was in his power to get into trouble, and herding farm animals. In early teens his family migrated to a suburb of San Francisco where after recovering from a culture shock, he was introduced to the arts. The passion for which remained with him ever since.

After jumping all over the country in wake of his teenage restlessness, Vladimir settled in an unpredictable Chicago weather where he was instantly attracted to the Columbia College through its cheerful choice of colors in its study halls and the amazing educational opportunities. In addition to working as a freelance photographer he enjoys collecting books, couch-surfing, blueberry muffins, the eclectic genre of electronic music, and telling stories.

Given his diverse upbringing, Vladimir is constantly in the process of enriching his life through new experiences and bringing a positive impact on those around him.
