Chicago's Michelin Star Restaurants 2025

There's no denying that Chicago is a foodie town. 


And we've got the stars to prove it. The 2025 Michelin Star winners have been announced and Chicago is home to 22 restaurants on this year's list. 


Here's a run-down of this year's Michelin-starred restaurants in Chicago.

Alinea

1723 N. Halsted St. - Lincoln Park

Alinea continues to reign supreme in the city. It's easier to compare Chef Grant Achatz's dishes to art than it is to describe them simply as food.

171 N. Ada St. - West Loop

Smyth is back on this list with three stars, offering approachable fine dining in West Loop. Once you check this one off your bucket list, visit its sister restaurant The Loyalist downstairs for more amazing food and the best burger in town.

Ever

1340 W. Fulton Market St.

After Restaurant Row favorite Grace closed in 2017, Chicago was thrilled to see Chef Curtis Duffy's return with Ever. Apparently, so were the Michelin awards.

Oriole

Oriole has finally revealed its renovations and reservations are open! Already lauded for its experiential dining, the restaurant's recent changes expand diners' culinary adventure with tasty stops in the welcome lounge, kitchen, dining room and bar.

Co-founder and brewmaster Jared Rouben "approaches brewing with a chef's mindset." Oysters, cake, and exquisite beer take the main stage at this tasting room.

Temporis

933 N. Ashland Ave. - West Town

Just try looking at pictures of food from Temporis and not wanting to try it. These culinary works of art seem too beautiful to destroy but the taste is always worth it.

Chef Jenner Tomaska (a former chef at Michelin-starred Next) and his wife Katrina Bravo's new tasting menu venture is an instant success and joins the list for the first time in 2022.

Middle Eastern fine dining gets its dues as Galit in Lincoln Park enters the Chicago Michelin star list for the first time in 2022. The restaurant first opened in 2019.

Filipino breakfast and fine dining got a fresh new take when Kasama opened its doors in the midst of 2020. Owners and husband and wife duo Genie Kwon and Tim Flores welcomed a well-deserved first-time Michelin star in 2022.
