Chicago's Best Bars With Board Games

You're never too old for board games.

If you're not doing game night AT LEAST once a month, then you're doing things wrong. You can't beat getting a few friends together, grabbing some drinks and playing a round of Monopolyjust kidding, don't play Monopoly if you want to keep said friends.

We've rounded up some of the best bars in town where you and your crew can roll some dice or draw some cards. Just play fair, and make sure to grab the winner a celebratory drink!

Navigator Taproom

2211 N. Milwaukee Ave. - Logan Square

A pour-your-own-beer spot, Navigator has board games out the wazoo and also a life-sized Connect Four and Jenga. We recommend stepping out of the way when that thing falls over.

Green Eye Lounge

2403 W. Homer St. - Logan Square

Seconds from the Western blue line stop (the stairs literally drop you off at the entrance), you’ll find some great drink deals, awesome music and, inevitably, a great time.

Guthrie’s Tavern

1300 W. Addison St. - Lakeview

This vine-covered tavern is the perfect place to stop by before or after a Cubs game if you’re trying to avoid the Wrigley crowd. Grab a drink and a classic board game and enjoy talking at a normal, human volume.

Uptown Arcade

4830 N. Broadway - Uptown

Arcade games are made of circuit boards, so are they technically board games? Regardless, you’ll still find classic board games and more at Uptown Arcade!

California Clipper

1002 N. California Ave. - Humboldt Park

The historic California Clipper has more to offer than just board games. Its cocktails are some of the best in the city and its roster of music ranges from jazz, soul, indie and beyond. Not a bad addition to game night!

Hopewell Brewing

2760 N. Milwaukee Ave. - Logan Square

Its look might be minimal but the beer is anything but at Hopewell. You’ll find the board games in the back corner, but the best part is you can bring your dog! As long as they don’t cheat...

Blue Line Lounge

1548 N. Damen Ave. - Bucktown

Helping make the beginning of the week suck a little bit less, every Monday and Tuesday is board game night at Blue Line Lounge!

This quaint, neighborhood spot is a favorite due to its friendly atmosphere and affordable prices. Grab a drink and a board game, or hit the pool table.

Board games? Check. Darts and pool? Check. $2 PBR every day? Check! Need we say more about Goldie’s?

Galway Bay

Galway Bay keeps things casual with couches, old-school video games, board games and free popcorn. Wait...did we just describe our mom’s basement?
